These apps range from radio apps, books and precisely, there are apps for everything and anything that you might need. That being said learning apps have not been left behind. There are several apps that can help ESL/TESOL/TEFL teachers teach English and also recommend them to their students because as we know the number of people with smartphones according to statistics is very high. There are a few advantages that comes along with these apps.

    Learning a foreign language may appear to be a daunting task to anyone embarking on this journey. Moreover, it is that much more difficult at an older age. The plasticity of the young mind allows it to be easily molded and grasp a new language relatively effortlessly. Adults, with other commitments, families of their own, and responsibilities of a full time job, often find it extremely difficult to grasp a new language. However, there are many resources available to facilitate learning English in an appealing and engaging manner for learners of all ages and ethnicities.

    Many countries in Africa, Asia, and South America are nowadays learning English as second language (ESL). It has therefore become quite a lucrative venture which English teachers are making a run for. This however means moving to new country and embracing or coping with a whole new way of life. You will be interacting with an entirely new community different from the one back at home. It is therefore best to familiarize yourself with the dos and don’ts of the community in terms of greetings, mode of dressing, religion among others.

    English is continually becoming a global language. It is now being used extensively in business, education and entertainment. Learning to speak English is essential to anyone who wishes to communicate and interact with the rest of the world effortlessly. Like learning any other language, learning to speak English requires willingness, commitment, and persistence. However, should not scare you away as the experience can be fun and rewarding depending on the approach and the methods that you use. Here are a few methods that you can use to learn how to speak English fluently.

    Educators need to take considerable effort in choosing or building their collection of learning materials. Otherwise, haphazardly selected teaching aids that poorly match the students' cultural background or level of competency will only prevent the learning process from smoothly moving forward. As is often the case, poorly selected learning materials generate confusion among learners instead of the planned appreciation of the subject matter. This is doubly true in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) where the learning dynamic is usually between a native English speaker who functions as the knowledge source and a class of non-native speakers whose socio-linguistic contexts are very distinct from their teachers.

    Learning is the process of acquiring any information that modifies a person's behavior, values and knowledge base. An ongoing process that starts as early as the fetal stages in humans, learning occurs in many forms including instinctive, experiential, conscious, and purposed learning. Personal experiences, formal education, and controlled training are some of the general scenarios within which learning can be administered. Some types of learning--such as native language skills--occur over time as part of the learner's daily social interactions. Some--like martial arts training--are consciously undertaken by learners who are motivated by various reasons to learn a particular subject, discipline, or skill. Others such as primary education, are mandated by governments and as such, are compulsory activities.

    While it is no secret that certain regions make it more difficult for TEFL instructors of a certain age to find work, there are still various markets who value the experience that comes with hiring more mature TEFL instructors.  Focusing your job search on these markets will help the process along, but freelance teaching (i.e. tutoring without a third party school involved) and using your experience to specialize in teaching a target market (i.e. teaching business English) are also great ways for these candidates to get your foot in the door.

    Teaching young learners English as a second language has a number of challenging aspects that are rarely encountered in teaching English to older children and adults. Younger children are restless and may not give their teacher their full attention which makes learning new vocabulary and grammar very difficult.  Younger children often have very little reason or need to learn a foreign language. 

    Children love stories. They can remain enthralled for hours listening to fantastic, scary or funny tales. Stories are an important part of bedtime and some kids can’t go to sleep without their bedtime story. Given this love for storytelling, it’s not hard to understand why storytelling is an effective tool for teaching English to early foreign language classes.  Why should teachers use stories?
