Break it down and make it interactive I've never come across any situation, teaching from kindergarten to high school at least, where it was not possible or desirable to avoid lecturing. In my experience there's always a way to make the knowledge building process more interactive and entertaining.

Simply lecturing still has a place There are so many new teaching methods coming out as well as an overabundance to choose from already. I feel it’s sometimes necessary for the teacher to simply IMPART some knowledge but that seems to be frowned upon as backwards and ineffective.
