Positions
Grade 8 Science Teacher
Teaching 16 hours (contracted up to 20) with class sizes a maximum of 35. Teaching 3 classes of Grade 8 science for 5 hour per week per class (15 hours) plus 1 hour of Health/Homeroom. This position is at the main English Program school in the heart of Suratthani. The fellow teachers and students are very friendly and the level of English displayed by the students is very good.
Benefits:
• 38,000 baht salary per month plus 500 baht per hour over 100 teaching hours /monthly
• 12 month contract that can be extended for additional years and additional benefits.
• End of Contract bonus up to 25,000 baht increasing to 30,000 baht with additional years.
• Guaranteed yearly 3% cost of living pay increase minimum.

• Yearly professional development training provided for free during school breaks. Topics of training based on teacher requests and needs.

Working Conditions:
• Teaching hours range from 15-20 a week.
• Class sizes range from 30-35 students per class.
• School hours are approximately 08.00-15.30 Monday to Friday.
• Curriculum and lesson plans are already developed.
• All teaching materials are supplied by BFITS in digital format on a notebook computer: Teacher Editions, Student Editions, Interactive Chalkboard, Examview Test Generator, etc.
Responsibilities:
• Teach assigned subjects to assigned classes as per schedule provided.
• Adapt and deliver powerpoints provided by BFITS to appropriate level of class.
• Modify and adapt lessons to meet the needs of your class.
• Maintain weekly office hours.
• Attend office meetings or professional development held during office hours (if/when needed).
