Kidz Talk, a private English school for children, is seeking a full time teacher who will be available from the middle of June, 2010. Kidz Talk is the private English school for children age from 5 to 18 years old. There are about 170 students in all but no more than 8 students in one class. Our students come once a week for an hour and a half. There are a native English teacher and two Japanese teachers.
We teach communicative English. We use course books depending on the students' levels. We aim to make English fun, so we play lots of games. Also, using supplementary materials, we try to foster the students' creativity. Special events include Halloween and Christmas week-long parties, summer school 3-day trip and an English card game tournament.
Our working hours are from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm through Monday to Friday. Holidays are Saturdays, Sundays, Japanese national holidays with four weeks paid vacation per year. Renewable two-year contract. Salary is 270,000 yen/month with a 3% raise in the third year if the contract is renewed. Accommodation is prepared. Accommodation is fully furnished, 5 minutes by bike, and 10 minutes walking to the school. 50 % of the accommodation fee is subsidized by the school. BA required. TESL/ESL certification or teaching experience preferred. Sponsorship available. Teaching training session will be provided.
Kidz Talk is located in Hanno, Saitama, Japan. Hanno is about an hour train ride from Tokyo. It's a nice Japanese suburb and the cost of living is low (compared to living in Tokyo). It is surrounded by nature and has some Japanese traditional sights.
