The Wright Language School invites applications for a full-time opening in Tsuyama, Okayama, Japan, beginning with orientation on Thursday, June 24th 2010.
Brief description of the position:
* Teaching pre-school to adult students, in private to large group settings.
* Minimum 3 to 4 year Bachelor degree, preferably teaching related.
* Sponsorship/visa renewal will be provided for suitably qualified applicants.
* Experience preferred, but far more important is a proven ability to fit in a close working environment, an ability to work independently when needed and a commitment to achieving personal and professional goals.
* Starting salary 250,000 yen per month, with consideration given for successful applicant's experience and qualifications.
* Five day work week, Tuesday to Saturday.
* Renewable contract.
* Bonus paid on completion of contract.
* Japanese or international driver's required.
* Private housing with phone line, broadband Internet access, air-conditioner and all necessities is arranged, rent subsidized. The teacher is responsible for utilities, phone and Internet fees.
* All Japanese national holidays falling on work days, plus approximately a week each for spring, summer and winter vacations.
The successful applicant will be employed in a long-established, growing school, work alongside the owner/manager who maintains a teaching schedule and class profile similar to your own, have daily contact with the entire full-time staff of three, and will have a high degree of control over learning objectives in the classes you are responsible for.
Whenever possible, interviews will be conducted in person with applicants in final consideration for the position who reside in Japan. Interviews with International applicants and those not available for a face-to-face interview will be conducted via Skype.
