Description of position
Are you interested in experiencing a different-side of Japan most people never see? If so, Power Point English (P.P.E.) is currently looking for an enthusiastic Native English Teacher, with a Bachelors degree or more than a 2 Year Diploma from a recognized institution. If you are interested in teaching mainly young children but could also teach adults. APPLY NOW! Visa is sponsored by P.P.E.
The chance to teach the same children twice weekly, means you are not just their teacher, but their friend too. You can monitor their development and make their experience with English an exciting one, which motivates them and gives them the comfort and freedom to express themselves in English. Looking for a teacher who would be interested in more than just 1 year. Incentives are set up for teachers who decide to stay longer.
Training....
Training is provided but some experience would be preferable. Also, ongoing regional training is provided throughout your employment with Power Point English in Japan. Further opportunities exist for highly motivated employees.
Teaching English....
P.P.E. teachers work basically early afternoons to evenings with morning work on some days. (These days with morning work finish earlier). All full-time teachers work 5 days a week, with 2 days holiday per week. 2 Saturdays a month. Friday is off on these weeks. No work on Sundays.
Health Insurance....
P.P.E. provides assistance with health and accident insurance which covers basic medical care while employed by P.P.E. in Japan from the commencement of second year. Dental, vision, maternity and pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Monthly Salary.....
The monthly salary ranges from 240,000 yen and can be up to 275,000 yen for a one-year renewable contract depending on experience. P.P.E. teachers pay an average of 5% income and residential tax.
Housing and Commuting....
P.P.E will assist in finding accommodation and is able to offer cheap accommodation for up to 1 month.. Rent, utilities and utilities deposits are the teacher's responsibility. Travel expenses to and from work may be reimbursed by P.P.E. (This is negotiable.)
Travel and Bonus....
Employees are responsible for their own airfare to and from Japan. There are monetary incentives available for high achievers.
Paid Holidays.....
10 days of employee selected paid holidays, 1 week of company holidays and Japanese national holidays (around 16 days) are available in the first contract year. (Paid holidays are available after the first 6 months of employment
