The Universidad del Papaloapan (UNPA) in Tuxtepec, Oaxaca, is looking for qualified ESL/EFL teachers to join our team at the beginning of April. Candidates must be native speakers of English and hold a university degree with at least two years teaching experience. Preference is given to candidates who already have their qualifications and birth certificate apostilled and who can come over to Tuxtepec ASAP to start on the visa application process.
Teachers are expected to be on campus 40 hours per week and teach three hours of classes per day. Take home pay is approximately $10,000 - 13,000 MXN net per month plus other benefits including healthcare, an employer sponsored savings plan and a bonus. Teachers receive 5 weeks paid vacation a year in addition to national holidays.
UNPA is a small government-funded university catering for the local rural communities in and around Tuxtepec. Tuxtepec is located in the northeast corner of the State of Oaxaca. It is surrounded by beautiful mountains, rivers and waterfalls. It can get very hot and humid here. It is a three-hour bus ride to the Port of Veracruz and a six to seven-hour bus ride to Mexico City.
In order to obtain your work visa and sign a contract with UNPA, you must have all your qualifications and your birth certificate apostilled back in your home country. The visa application process takes about 3 weeks and we are looking for applicants who can come over to Tuxtepec as soon as possible to start on the visa process.
