The Sydney Institute of Language and Commerce (SILC) at Shanghai University is currently recruiting English Language Teachers for the next academic year. Full-time positions begin at the end of August 2010 and go to the end of the academic year (June 2011).
Essential Criteria:
• An undergraduate degree
• An internationally recognized TESOL, linguistics or education qualification (e.g. CELTA)
• A minimum of two years' experience teaching, tutoring, training or coaching
• An ability to work as part of a team
Desirable criteria:
• Experience in Academic English, Study Skills, Business English, English for Specific Purposes or Test Preparation English
• Professional experience in a university context
Base salaries are between RMB 7,000 and RMB 8,000 per month (dependant on qualifications and experience). Additional benefits include free accommodation or a rental allowance, overtime pay, performance bonus, paid holidays, medical insurance, payment of 1 return international flight per year, salary increase after 1st year and comfortable working conditions within a highly professional teaching environment.
Positions are also available for Business Teachers with 5 years' teaching experience holding post-graduate qualifications in Information Management, Finance, Accounting and Business Management.
