EFL Teaching Positions at The American Language Centers - Rabat, Tetouan and Tangier, Morocco
ALCs Rabat, Tetouan and Tangier are currently accepting applications from qualified, native speaker English teachers for the academic years Oct. 2010 - September 2011 and Oct 2011 - September 2012. Candidates must have teaching experience and hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited university as well as a TEFL, CELTA or equivalent ESOL certificate; at least one year overseas teaching experience is highly recommended. An interest in Moroccan culture and/or the Arabic language is helpful. A minimum 12 month commitment is required.
A full time position entails 21 contact hours per week. Classes may include children's, young adolescent or adult groups, specialized English classes (e.g. Business English, TOEFL Prep) and extra-curricular clubs and activities.
Teachers are paid at locally competitive rates. Full time wages allow teachers to live in modest comfort on a budget. ALCs provide assistance obtaining a work contract and residency. Teachers receive health and dental insurance, support for professional development, and other benefits depending on the Center.
