I am currently working in a Private Foreign Language Boarding School in Leshan City, Sichuan Province, China.  I currently teach children of all ages and abilities ranging from 4 to 18.

I obtained my TEFL Certificate in July 2009 and I am currently completing my Thesis for my TEFL Diploma.  Alongside this avenue of study I am also in my first year of a Ba (hons) Early Childhood Studies with Napier University in Edinburgh, Scotland.

During my time in China I have had to adapt to the many cultural and religious differences that the country has to provide.  This experience has allowed me to expand my understanding of others and has also increased my confidence tenfold.

I am a very dedicated and enthusiastic teacher.  I enjoy teaching with many varied techniques, and also learning new ways to teach and adapting these to my personality.  In any new teaching position I look for dedication from my students and the teachers alike, in the correct learning and pronunciation of English as a spoken language.

Before teaching English in China I was a fully qualified Driving Instructor for 10 years.  This prepared me greatly for teaching.  I am a very patient and understanding teacher and I am very aware of how differently people learn and at what speed they are comfortable learning a new skill.
