Hello! I am an American who is interested in a position as an English teacher in Asia or the Middle East, for the year 2010 and ’11.

I have a total of 13 years of teaching experience, both as a private tutor and as a classroom teacher. I have taught students from the kindergarten age to high school seniors, as well as college graduates. I have experience teaching in a private language school, and also in public schools. I have experience teaching abroad, in Italy.

I excel in customizing my lessons to my students’ particular strengths and weaknesses. I am very personable and work well in groups or one-on-one. I have a proven track record of success with my students, visible in their increased test scores.

I am well-traveled, having visited over 20 countries in my life so far. I have a natural curiosity for other cultures and customs, and adapt well to where I am visiting when in a foreign country. I also have an interest in languages, and learn them easily. I am fluent in Spanish and Italian, and proficient in French. I am now interested in learning an Asian language.

I’m a dynamic, creative teacher with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from New York University, and 13 years experience as an educator. I’m passionate about teaching English so that students can express themselves confidently and effectively.  I have excellent public speaking skills and classroom management style. I have a strong ability to develop and generate positive learning environments and engaging, instructive curriculum that satisfies and enriches every student's individual learning goals. I have a proven track record of improved student scores. I’m very personable, with a desire to promote an engaging, interesting work environment. I do best in multi-cultural environments, and am always interested in becoming part of the new culture when traveling abroad.
