To the Director of Studies:
I am a 36 year old South African citizen with a TEFL certificate and many hours of classroom experience. Between 2003 and 2005 I taught English in Cape Town to students of varying ages and nationalities. I was responsible for both full-time and part-time classes and taught from Elementary level to Advanced level, using a vast range of course books and materials.
Dealing with so many different nationalities at the same time made me very aware of and sensitive to any cultural differences amongst a group. My students responded to me warmly as I always tried to maintain an open and honest yet caring atmosphere in my classroom. As I am a creative teacher, my classes were usually a lot of fun.
I am currently employed as an Educational Advisor by an independent Educational Institution where I market and facilitate courses in Learning and Life Skills which I believe my TEFL career can greatly benefit from.
In order to further my qualifications and experience as a teacher of English I would like to become part of a school where the students are placed above profit and teachers are valued and encouraged.
I understand that very few schools offer full-time employment, but should a position at your school become available early in 2011, please consider my application. Should you require a teacher sooner, kindly inform me and I would do my best to oblige.
Sincerely,
Andriette Korb
