Come and be part of an exciting initiative developed by The Ministry of Education of Ecuador to improve English learning amongst children and adolescents.
There are two teaching options available:
� Long-term position (10 months): September & October
� Short-term position (5 months ): September & OctoberIt is preferred that volunteers commit to 2 semesters.
Work Information Duration: 10 months (September & October)
5 months (September & October)Location: Throughout the Coast region of Ecuador Qualifications Language: Fluent English speakers (at least C1 level) Degree: Bachelor's degree in any discipline Age: 21-55 years old Background: Clean criminal record Certification: TEFL/TESOL certification preferred Passport: Holding a passport with at least 1 year validity Character: Have cultural sensitivity Program Environment: Teach English in Ecuador public schools. Weekly Hours: Classroom teaching approx. 30 hours (45 minutes per class), plus 10 hours of lesson planning and additional activities at the school. Shift: Volunteers can teach either morning or afternoon shift. Training: Attend events and training related to program at request of the Ministry of Education. Classroom: Teach up to 40 students per class (student age varies from 5�18 years old). Involvement: Be an ambassador for your country! Salary & Benefits Airfare: � Long-term position: Prepaid round-trip air-ticket to Ecuador
� Short-term position: One-way air-ticket from Ecuador to corresponding country provided on contract completion. (The flight to Ecuador will be covered by the volunteer.)Salary: US$ 366 monthly stipend (minus 8% tax deduction) Visa: Visa sponsorship Orientation: Full orientation and training on arrival Housing: Accommodation with host family Meals: 2 meals daily provided by host family (breakfast and dinner) Insurance: Prepaid medical insurance Guide Book: Lonely Planet eGuide to Ecuador Completion Award: Diploma on program completion in recognition of your contribution Destination Ecuador:
